Fran Heckrotte
Fran Heckrotte is the 2011 winner of the Alice B. Medal Award (www.alicebawards.org) and lives in the Sunny South with her husband, two dogs, Sophie an Skipper, koi, several goldfish and a yard full of chickens, moles, and the occasional snake.
A few of her life experiences include living in Alaska for three years, gold panning, bull riding, scuba diving, flying, training gaited horses, and motorcycling. After spending five years in law enforcement, she switched to construction and eventually real estate.
She now owns a small property management company. Her hobbies include water gardening, landscaping, photography, hiking, and skiing in Montreal when time allows. Fran credits her best friend for encouraging her writing. Fran loves interacting with readers and authors.
